LEED: Green Building Design, Construction, and Certification

JHK coordinates and implements all tasks associated with the LEED planning, design, construction, documentation, post-construction, and certification process for commercial buildings/spaces and healthcare facilities.

JHK acts as an intermediary between the project team and the owner. We ensure that: 1) the project is compliant with all applicable LEED criteria; 2) the project team is clear on their tasks, roles and responsibilities; and 3) the LEED credits being pursued are within the project’s budgetary constraints, goals and capabilities.

We are vendor neutral, which allows you to work with the team that you assemble. However, JHK does have the necessary professionals in house to fully implement a streamlined process of green building design, construction, and certification, including:

  • Architects
  • Design teams
  • Construction capabilities
  • Contractors
  • Engineers (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical)

We have LEED-AP’s (Accredited Professional) on staff and we are a member of and actively involved in the:

US Green Building Council (USGBC)

Delaware Valley Green Building Council

Keep in Mind…
Although achieving a LEED certification carries many financial, environmental, social and marketing benefits, you do not need to pursue a LEED certification to implement green building principles.

JHK is an expert in applying and customizing applicable green building concepts and methodologies. We work with your project team to implement measurable and tangible results that are compatible with a project’s budgetary capabilities, location, scope and goals.

Sustainable Property Management

JHK develops and implements an operation, maintenance, and repair manual to facilitate timely upkeep of your facilities to reduce repair costs, ensure your facility functions more efficiently, and eliminate costly repairs and/or replacements due to neglect.
